Forward Studio was founded to help our clients create beautiful, sustainable and innovative buildings, through a holistic approach to low carbon design.
We bring an ethos, experience and understanding to the creation of timber buildings. We use low embodied carbon materials such as CLT (cross laminated timber) and use innovative design techniques to create energy efficient buildings.
We create buildings that are sustainable and resilient, that have minimal impact on the environment and can be easily reused and remade.
We believe that buildings should be beautiful, elegant and inspiring but also relatable, buildable and grounded in commercial reality.
Frederick brings a fresh perspective and unique skills and experience to Forward Studio through his background in both large international practices, international design studios and sustainable architecture practices.
Prior to founding Forward Studio he led projects at world leading practices including Amanda Levete Architects, Grimshaw Architects, and Thomas Heatherwick Studio.
More recently as an Associate at Waugh Thistleton Architects, he designed and led a number of innovative low carbon commercial and residential projects.
These projects include; Sugar House Island for Vastint, The Black & White building for The Office Group, Development House for The Ethical Property Company and an exciting tall timber project for British Land.
